Complex vaccinations of rabbits against myxomatosis and VGBK are an effective means of preserving the livestock from death.
Vaccine for rabbits from myxomatosis and HBV
Pharmacology Associated Vaccination
The vaccine against myxomatosis and associated viral hemorrhagic disease of rabbits is produced in one of two possible strains:
- B82 rabbit myxomatous viral pathogen,
- B87 viral pathogen of rabbit hemorrhagic infection.
Outwardly, it looks like a dry porous mixture, the color shade of which varies from light pink to light brown.
Live vaccine for rabbits from myxomatosis and HBVC is packed in sterile sealed ampoule containers with a volume of 0.5-2 ml of the active substance or in glass sealed bottles with a volume of 4-6 ml of the active substance.
When purchasing a dry vaccine against myxomatosis and HBV, special attention should be paid to the presence of labeling with the name of the manufacturer, batch and control titles, packaging date, quantitative data on the contained doses and expiration date.
The quantitative indicator of the contained immunizing doses depends on the form of release in the container with the vaccine against myxomatosis and rabbit viral hemorrhagic disease and can range from 5 to 120.
The live dry vaccine can be used intramuscularly, subcutaneously or intradermally, causing stable resistance from the third day from the moment of inoculation, actively acting throughout the entire calendar year.
Action Nobivak Mixo
Nobivakov's vaccine against myxomatosis and VGBV is a set of a dry lyophilized mixture of a light pink shade with an attached solvent for making an injection solution in a bottle. It is made from a cell line that is infected with myxomatous viral infection with built-up coding GB genes in rabbits. In addition to viral strains, the composition of the drug includes:
- stabilizers, including 25 mg of sorbitol, 12.5 mg of gelatin hydrolyzate, 12.5 mg of casein hydrolyzate,
- sodium dihydrate - 0.065 mg.
The sterile phosphate-buffered diluent included in the vaccination kit, according to the instructions, is a mixture of sodium dihydrate (0.31 mg), potassium dihydrogen phosphate (0.21 mg) and water (1 ml).
When dissolved, Nobivac Mixo does not precipitate or flakes, it dissolves well into a homogeneous transparent liquid.
The release of Nobivak Mixo is organized in 1 or 50 immunizing doses in glass or plastic, packaged in 5-10 pieces.
When Nobivac Myxo is vaccinated, immunity against the effects of viral infections of myxomatosis and HBV is formed after a three-week period, ensuring the action of the active substance throughout the calendar year.
Pharmacology Lapimun Gemix
Ukrainian vaccine against myxomatosis of rabbits and from HBV Lapimun Gemiks refers to a medicine that includes two main components:
- the inactivated pathogen source of the viral hemorrhagic infection of rabbits is presented in the form of a suspension with strain BG04, which serves as a solvent,
- myxomatous virus carrier is presented in the form of a lyophilisate of the MAV RK-13 20 strain.
Medication Lapimune is placed in a 10 ml vial, which is 50 immunizing doses.
The vaccine develops a stable resistance from 1 to 2 weeks after injection and remains active for up to 10 months.
Resistance of rabbits to hemorrhagic infection and myxomatosis is developed no later than two weeks after vaccination with Lapimuna Gemiks.
Among the contraindications for the use of the medicinal drug in the instructions are warnings: when using the drug for rabbits, vaccination is avoided a week before the round-up to avoid stressful conditions in rabbits and related mechanical abortions.
Vaccination dosages
Depending on the type of vaccine with which rabbits are vaccinated against myxomatosis and HBV, the instructions for the drug set their own dosage.
Live associated vaccination
The vaccine for rabbits against myxomatosis and HBV associated is applicable for the purpose of prophylaxis among healthy individuals. Moreover, in regions favorable for infections, vaccination occurs once, from a month and a half age of rabbits. In unfavorable areas where quarantine measures for myxomatosis and HBV have been imposed, rabbits are vaccinated, followed by re-vaccination of young individuals three months after the initial vaccination.
The dosage order of the drug depends on the method of injection:
- for the purpose of intramuscular and subcutaneous injection, the dry mixture is diluted in proportion to 1 dosage of 0.5 ml of solution, and the prepared prepared vaccine in a volume of 0.5 ml is injected into the thigh area,
- for the purpose of intradermal administration of the drug, 1 dosage of the drug is diluted with 0.2 ml of the solution and the finished inoculation with a volume of 0.2 ml is injected into the auricle or into the undertail area.
When using the associated vaccine, revaccination is recommended after 9 months.
Nobivak Mixo
Nobivak vaccinates rabbits against myxomatosis and HBV. Pets by the time of the procedure must have reached the age of 5 weeks, and decorative dwarf breeds are also grafted. The vaccine for the disease must be diluted in a 1: 1 ratio, 1 ml is vaccinated subcutaneously. To prevent the rabbit from getting sick, revaccination with the drug is carried out at least once a calendar year.
Lapimun Gemix
Live vaccine for rabbits Lapimun hemix in the form of a prophylactic against the disease is suitable for rabbits of the age category 10 weeks. It is introduced once in regions with a favorable epidemiological situation from the age of 10 weeks with the existing threat of infection, followed by revaccination upon reaching the age of 4 months. By the time of the first vaccination, the animal must have gained at least 0.5 kg. At lower rates, the vaccine for rabbits from myxomatosis and HBV is postponed, it is done when the required mass is gained. For a single vaccination in rabbits against myxomatosis and VGBV, the dosage is 1.0 ml of the active substance obtained by mixing the suspension and the lyophilisate.
The route of injection is subcutaneously in the area behind the scapula. The Lapimun Hemix vaccine is repeated after 8 months.
When carrying out vaccination measures, it is necessary to follow the scheme, vaccinate on time, since a violation of the vaccination calendar often leads to a decrease in the effectiveness of the drug in the prevention of the disease. Before vaccinating rabbits, for 2 weeks all animals are subject to mandatory deworming. Carrying out deworming measures is also possible 2 weeks after the injection of one of the above drugs.
